TUF Gaming Series PSUs The presence of a more powerful 13th Generation Intel Core processor coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card makes the latest gaming PC specifications even more hungry for electrical power consumption. This condition has encouraged hardware brands including Asus to launch products in the power supply unit (PSU) category which have an important role in providing electrical power supply.
Asus Launches TUF Gaming Series PSUs
Most recently, Asus introduced a row of PSUs from the TUF Gaming line. Slightly different from the ROG sub-brand, TUF Gaming offers more durability aliases. Not only one, the Asus TUF Gaming PSU comes in four watt capacity options, namely 750W, 850W, 1000W and 1200W.
All three come with features and connections to support ATX 3.0 motherboards and a native 16-pin power cable is available, which is currently the latest standard for graphics cards. Each model features a modular design that simplifies cable organization and management within the case.
Regarding durability, the Asus TUF Gaming PSU series uses components with 80 Plus Gold certification, indicating more efficient and durable performance. They say the components used have military standards for long-term use.
The Asus TUF Gaming PSU series also uses a PCB protector which prevents short circuits due to humid temperatures and dusty environments. The cooling fan uses the typical Asus Axia-tech 135mm design.
Here the resulting air pressure keeps the operating temperature low but with a fan noise level. The fan uses a dual bearing design that keeps the fan’s durability and rotation performance optimal for a long time. Asus claims its products have gone through an extreme durability test process for both temperature and vibration. That’s why all PSU products in the Asus TUF Gaming series are given an increased warranty from six years to 10 years.
